Foxborough, Massachusetts (PSF) — The 2022 New England Patriots offense was horrible. Was it Matt Patricia’s play calling, or did New England just not have any receivers for Mac Jones to throw to? There have been some talks about the Patriots taking an offensive lineman in this years draft in the first round; however, the Pats should consider looking at the wide receiver position.

While Tyquan Thornton is still young, he has yet to prove himself to be the dominant receiver the Pats need him to be. While there are no big name wide reciever free agents, New England has been considering trading for Cardinals star WR DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins is expected to be on the move before the start of the 2023 NFL season. With Jakobi Meyers possibly leaving New England in free agency, the Patriots need to find a number one receiver.
