Senior Bowl Recap
Mobile, Alabama (PSF) - The 2023 Senior Bowl wrapped up this past weekend and gave us an early look at some potential gems in the upcoming draft. If you are not familiar with the Senior Bowl, it is an event held by NFL coaches and scouts where college seniors can improve their draft stock with most of them being projected day three picks at the time.
A few players that stood out this past weekend were University of Michigan wide receiver Jayden Reed, University of Cincinnati wide receiver Tre Tucker, and University of Houston wide receiver Tank Dell. Tank Dell and Jayden Reed were getting most of the recognition from scouts as they were the two players generating the most buzz off social media.
This is what is great about the Senior Bowl, because in my opinion scouts are always wrong and you can take Brock Purdy as an example of that. The Senior Bowl is an advantage for a lot of these players that don’t get combine invites to show scouts and coaches what they have.
This upcoming wide receiver class has been described as “weak” with only three projected to go in the first round. There is nothing more I love than day two or three steals in the draft and you can expect a lot of them especially at the receiver position next season.
