Chase Claypool Traded to Miami
It looks like wide receiver Chase Claypool’s days as a Chicago Bear have come to an end. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Claypool has been traded to the Miami Dolphins for a sixth-round pick in 2025 from the Dolphins, and the Bears sent the Dolphins Claypool and a seventh-round pick in 2025.
This trade ends Claypool‘s rocky tenure in Chicago. Throughout his tenure, Claypool has sometimes looked like he is not giving 100 percent effort. This was especially true at the beginning of this season. That lack of effort led to the media asking if he thinks the Bears are using him correctly. Claypool’s response to that question was no, I do not think they are using me correctly. That comment and his play are why he is being shipped out of Chicago.
Claypool’s final stat line as a Bear was 18 catches for 191 yards and a touchdown in his ten games. That stat line is disappointing after Ryan Poles spent a second-round pick to acquire him.
It will be interesting to see if things work out for Claypools in Miami. If they do not, his career may be over.
