Saints’ tight end Devastated after dropping Touchdown pass
In the final seconds of a tight Thursday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Saints tight end Foster Moreau dropped a touchdown pass that would have tied the matchup. A viral video circulated quickly as the obviously angry fans booed him off the field and Moreau sitting on the bench, clearly disappointed with himself and extremely emotional.
Moreau recounts on his failed play postgame saying “It doesn’t come down to one play, but it does come down to one play.” He called his performance “unacceptable” and “pathetic”.
In the off season, Moreau battled and beat cancer, a teammate consoled him by saying that it’s nothing in comparison to what he’s been through and reiterated that the game wasn’t all about that one play, even though, in many’s eyes, it did.
Postgame on the bench with his helmet still on, teammates circled around Moreau and walked him back to the locker room. Although upset about the incomplete pass, it’s great to see the Saints come together like that and support a fellow teammate.
