NFL Running Backs Plan to Meet on Zoom to Discuss Running Back Deflate Market

NFL.com

Recently there have been news stories and coverages of star running backs becoming devalued at their position.

Running backs such as Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook, Austin Ekeler, Josh Jacobs and Kareem Hunt have been having trouble finding teams or contracts that fit their own value and pay them what they are worth.

Saquon Barkley, Austin Ekeler, and Josh Jacobs all have had problems resigning with their respective teams because of the contracts they were offered and not being enough for them. They were offered low pay for their position and the hard work they do for the organization.

They are planning to have a zoom call to discuss what they can do to prevent the running back market from diminishing. They feel that they should be compensated more for their hard work and the difference they bring to the team.

The players know that they cannot do anything at this time because if they decide to hold out then their teams would move on to the next running back available.

Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry are also expected to be in on the call. Both players voiced their opinions on running backs not getting paid and supported the players that couldn’t find a good contract. They both believe that other running backs should get paid more because they do believe that they make a difference to a team.
