Rams OC Mike Lafleur: Cooper Kupp, Will ‘Be Back in the Right Time'
Los Angeles, California (PSF) - Cooper Kupp has left Tuesday’s practice with a hamstring injury, but Lost Angeles Rams Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur isn’t fretting about the start receiver status. This is a great statement, meaning that he isn’t worry about the player being out from the field for too long. He suspects that the player will not be out for an elongated absence, he will be out for a few weeks and then return into practice after his injured is healed.
From the looks like it Kupp didn’t want this injury to happen to him, he already lost the final eight games last season due to an ankle injury. Given how hamstring issues can linger if not adequately healed before returning, they don’t expect the Rams to push the wideout back onto the practice field to soon. According to some ideas Kupp can return to the field before the season starts.
LaFleur has stated that the medical people will work as hard as they can, making sure that Kupp is having the best treatment possible so he can heal quickly. He also stated that Copp will be the person who will know when he is ready to come back to play, since he knows his body better than better than anybody else. The player has also stated that he will listen to medics and make sure that no problem will happen to his knee and elongate his time out of the field.
The Rams will kick off the next season by playing against the Seattle Seahawk. LaFleur believes that Coop should be back to field before the game begins, because with him the team will get a boost in power to keep going. He will take as long as he can, but he feels that he will be back before the main game starts.
