Patriots Have a Lot of Faith in DeVante Parker

Foxborough, Massachusetts (PSF) - DeVante Parker has been in the league since he was drafted back in 2015 to the Miami Dolphins. He has never been a great receiver only having one season above 1,000 receiving yards in 2019. He played 16 games, had 71 receptions, 1202 receiving yards, and finished with nine touchdowns. Then his next best season being in 2020 when he played 14 games, had 63 receptions, four touchdowns, and 793 receiving yards. While in Miami he never had a year close to that 2019 year that he had. After that 2019 year everyone had high hopes for DeVante Parker but he just never panned out to what people thought he could be.

Then in the 2022 season he ended up signing with the Patriots. People had a lot of hope for DeVante going to New England but he had a below average season. Playing 13 games, having 31 catches, only having 539 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. That is not very good when you are the wide receiver two on a team. DeVante’s first season was a very underwhelming one to everyone, the fans and the organization.

Coming into the 2023 season the Patriots have a lot of hope for him hence giving him a three year $33 million contract. Still being the wide receiver two on the team with JuJu Smith-Schuster coming in during free agency the team is hoping they could get more out of DeVante, or else this would be a terrible signing and a waste of money for the Patriots.
