There has been quite a few news stories coming out on NFL players engaging in sports betting which is not allowed in the league.

There have been players who have been suspended a number of games because of their participation in sports betting. For example, Calvin Ridley was suspended for the entire 2022-2023 season due to sports betting, especially Falcon games at the time.

The player who lost the money was unnamed but they are being investigated by the league. NFL players are allowed to bet on sports other than the NFL. This also goes for other sports players as well where the sports bettor cannot bet on teams or players that are in the same league as them.

The NFL has recently had a lot of players getting caught participating in sports betting and have given out suspensions for it.

The NFL asked retired quarterback Tom Brady to make a speech on sports betting and how players should be grateful to be in the position they are in and do not waste it.
