NFL Coaches on the hotseat this upcoming season
Becoming a head coach in the NFL is an feat that is hard to achieve and one that few coaches get the chance to do. It is also a stressful position and job that is difficult to keep when your team is not performing well.
Here are some notable head coaches in the NFL that could potentially be on the verge of losing there job if their team does not play well this season.
Pete Carroll:
Pete Carroll has had one of the most successful tenures in the NFL in the past twenty years. Although, last season Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks went 7-10, which was his first losing season since the year 2011. It is definitely possible that the Seahawks could have an upcoming season that is even worse than last year due to the fact of losing franchise quarterback Russel Wilson. It would be hard to imagine the Seahawks firing Carroll due to the success that he has brought the team in his tenure there, but it is possible that he could have somewhat of a forced retirement if the team does not improve.
Matt Rhule:
Matt Rhule is a head coaching name that will pop up more when it comes to coaches in danger of losing their job this upcoming season. Rhule has had an awful head coaching career so far with the Carolina Panthers. In his time in Carolina Rhule went 5-11 in his first season and 5-12 in his second. It is unclear how the Panthers will play this upcoming year, but if things do not improve it is very possible that Rhule will have to look for work elsewhere.
Other notable coaches whose jobs could be in jeopardy include Mike McCarthy, Ron Rivera, and Frank Reich.
