NFL championship round preview

The AFC and NFC Championship matchups are set and they are sure to be entertaining. Brock Purdy and the 49ers will head to Philadelphia to play Jalen Hurts and the Eagles at 3 PM Sunday. Joe Burrow and the Bengals will head to Arrowhead to take on Patrick Mahomes and the 1-seed Chiefs.

The Eagles showed no signs of rust coming out of their first-round bye week as they dominated the Giants 38-7 this past weekend. Jalen Hurts looked healthy both running and throwing the ball in this one as he threw for two touchdowns and ran for another. The 49ers won a close low scoring game against the Cowboys 19-12, forcing two turnovers and scoring just one offensive touchdown. Both teams have good defenses as well as good offenses in what will be an evenly matched game between the Eagles and the 49ers.

In a rematch of the AFC Championship game from last year where the Bengals came back to beat the Chiefs and advance to the Super Bowl, the Chiefs will host the Bengals hoping for a different result. The Chiefs got the hard fought win against the Jaguars despite Patrick Mahomes missing a portion of the game with an ankle injury. Despite not having the star quarterback the Chiefs were able to step up without him scoring a touchdown capping off a 99 yard drive before Mahomes would eventually come back after halftime. The Bengals went into Orchard Park and outplayed the Bills both offensively and defensively on Sunday. Getting out to an early 14 point lead and never letting the Bills get back into the game.
