Bengals vs. Ravens: Game of the Year?

CINCINNATI (PSF)— Another entry in one of the fiercest NFL rivalries produced another classic this week. In a duel that had over 700 passing yards and nine total passing touchdowns, both QB’s flexed their 50+ million dollar valuations on a random Sunday in October.

During the 1pm slate this Sunday, the Bengals and Ravens played out one of the best games of the season. Both QBs would come to perform, but only one could come out on top in the end.

Derrick Henry rushed for his 100th career touchdown in the first quarter, but by the end of the first half, the game would be 17-14. Bengals held a narrow lead, and would go on to have as big as a 10-point lead later on.

Joe Burrow’s fifth touchdown pass on the day would be a 70-yard screen taken to the house by Ja’Marr Chase. This would put the Bengals up 38-28 with about 9 minutes left on the clock.

You can never, ever doubt #8 for the Baltimore Ravens, though.

This Likely TD reception would make the game 38-35, Bengals still narrowly holding on.

The biggest tide-turning moment of the game would come on the next drive by way of the game’s first turnover. Joe Burrow with his first real mistake on the day has a pass intercepted by a good jump from cornerback Marlon Humphrey.

The Ravens would turn this into a field goal that’d send the game into overtime at 38-38.

As good as Lamar Jackson was, he wasn’t perfect. A costly fumble in overtime would set the Bengals up with a golden opportunity to win the game off the leg of Evan McPherson.

Whether you consider it good luck for Baltimore or bad luck for Cincinnati, there’s no denying a blundered hold messed this game up for the Bengals.

Derrick Henry’s best run of the night would come in OT as he would rumble down the left sideline for a 51 yards, all the way down to the Bengals six-yard line.

At that moment, the Ravens sent out Justin Tucker to send the team home and they would go on to win the game, 41-38.
