Since losing RB Rashaad Penny in week 5 to season ending ankle surgery, the Seattle Seahawks have called upon their rookie second round pick, Kenneth Walker III to lead their backfield, and he has stepped up in a major way.

The Michigan State alum has thrived since given the opportunity to be the starter. In the four games he has started for Seattle, he has rushed for 424 yards, and secured 5 Touchdowns on the ground. Since he has taken over as the starter, the team also has won four straight games, and sit 1.5 games up on San Francisco for first place in the NFC West at 6-3.

The Seahawks clearly believed in Walker III, drafting him 41st overall in last years draft. He has shown that he has what it takes to be a lead back in the NFL. Seattle must be very happy with the early success their second round draft pick has had, but also with the outlook of their offense with Kenneth Walker III in it for years to come.

Walker III and the Seahawks look to keep it rolling, and make it 5 wins in a row next week as they had into Tampa Bay to take on Tom Brady and the Buccaneers before Seattle heads into their bye week in week 11.
