MVP Rankings Entering the Final Portion of the Season
Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins
Tyreek HIll has been playing at an excellent and consistent level all season long. He has the most receiving yards in the NFL, with almost 1,500. This is almost 300 yards more than the second place person. If Hill is able to crack 2,000 receiving yards and the Dolphins remain atop the AFC, it would be extremely difficult to hand the MVP award to anyone else.
2. Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey is the league’s leading rusher and the only player with over 1,000 rushing yards already. He is the clear go-to-guy on the Niners elite offense, and is also a touchdown machine. With his ability to dominate as a rusher and a pass catcher, CMC deserves a fair shot at winning the MVP award.
3. Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
While his stats have been relatively average for his standards, Jalen Hurts still deserves MVP consideration for keeping the Eagles atop the NFC all season. Hurts can attack a defense with his throwing and running ability, and should be able to keep the Eagles at the top of the NFC the rest of the way.
4. Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
Some might say he should be higher, but Dak Prescott deserves MVP consideration either way. With the Cowboys still being behind the Eagles in the NFC East, it is hard to put Prescott any higher. The Cowboys have also not beaten any good team this year besides possibly Seattle. Time will tell if the Cowboys can beat legitimate contenders when they have to start playing tougher competition. But Prescott’s terrific season statistically will keep him in the MVP discussion.
