Titans takedown AFC powerhouse Buffalo Bills

The Titans run game was superb against the Bills defense on Monday night. NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry showed up with his A-game as usual with 20 carries for 143 yards with three touchdowns. One of these touchdowns was early in the second half which was recorded as the fastest NFL touchdown, according to NFL App. His second touchdown which was late in the third quarter to put the titans up by one point to make the score 23-24. And his last touchdown, late in the fourth quarter to put the Titans up 33-31.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehil had a significant night for the Titans also. Tannehil finished with 18-29 with 219 passing yards and one touchdown. Late in the second quarter Tannehill showed off his rushing skill with a read option to get in the endzone for the Titans second score. Tannehill has lots of time in the pocket monday night as he was hurting Titans receivers down the field.

The Titans receiver core was strong against that Buffalo defense. Wide receiver A.J. Brown stepped up big for the offense as he finished with seven receptions or 91 yards. Brown had a number of catches to get the Titans offense closer to the endzone. A.J. Brown showed off more of his hands rather than yards after catch as he didn’t drop a pass on the Bills defense. Brown was the key to setting up Henry’s second touchdown of the night.

Can’t forget about that Titans defense that stuffed Josh Allen on the two yard line. Defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons penetrated against the Bills offensive line to stuff Josh Allen before he could get the first down to prolong the game. With this stop the Titans take the victory over the powerhouse Buffalo Bills.
