Las Vegas, Nevada (PSF) — Heading into Week 13, the Las Vegas Raiders had plenty of momentum after winning two in a row, both coming off walk-off overtime touchdowns. So the Raiders were pumped up for last Sunday’s matchup against the 6-5 Los Angeles Chargers. Both of these teams have not lived up to their preseason hype and expectations, especially the Chargers, who were seen as a team that could potentially take the next step and compete on the same level with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Las Vegas Raiders, however, have begun to turn their season around it seems as the winners of three games in row with the offense and defense playing some of its best football of the entire season.

On Sunday, the Raiders big 3 came through again, quarterback Derek Carr went 16 for 30 with 250 passing yards and two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs continued his campaign as the best running back in the league this year with another 144 yard day and a touchdown. Lastly, wide receiver Davante Adams excelled again catching 8 passes for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. These three have stepped up to steadily carry the Las Vegas offense over the past three games. The Chargers were a tough opponent as quarterback Justin Herbert threw for 377 yards, but the Raiders defense held strong by only allowing 7 second half points. Wide receiver Keenan Allen looked strong in his second game back, totaling 6 catches for 88 yards and a touchdown. However, Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones had his best game of the season delivering 5 tackles, and three sacks on the day. If he can keep playing with this intensity, the Raiders have a chance to win out the rest of the season and make a very strong push for a spot in the playoffs.
