kupp of tea: rams receiver on the up
On his way to the Superbowl, Cooper Kupp has finally found his niche. It only took a few years and a couple of teams to pass on him with him getting drafted in the third round in 2017to realize there is a Bonafide star in LA.
Kupp made 10 TD’s this season and he broke the record of most receiving yards in a single game passing Isaac Bruce’s hold for 26 years. What makes Kupp and Stafford relationship so dynamic is the ability for Kupp to find a way to get open without his opponents even knowing what happened allowing Stafford to throw to him so easily. With the Superbowl in a few days, fans of the Rams can’t wait to see what he can do next.
At just 28 years old, Kupp has the ability to make plays that many other receivers couldn’t fathom. Just take a look at some of what he said to a reporter after a Jaguars game in Week 13 when asked about a touchdown, "they didn’t look like they were doing a replacement fire zone, so I knew with the back away, we were going to get three pushing through that had an opportunity to kind of run there if I could beat my guy.” The terminology in itself is amazing but just to think this is what is going through his mind for a play is more amazing.
We have some years to look forward to seeing Kupp get his just do and I for one am looking forward to seeing him break more records. But first the Superbowl…
