Jonathan Taylor and the Colts

FOX 59

Indianapolis, Indiana (PSF) - Colts running back Jonathan Taylor recently had a meeting with The Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay and after the meeting Taylor did not leave pleased. He then requested a trade from the team.

Taylor’s entering his fourth year of his contract and is potentially looking for an extension soon. But with the situation with the current running back market it may seem that he may have trouble getting a large contract.

Jim Irsay stated after the meeting that he is not planning on trading Taylor now or in the near future.

Additional reports say that Taylor may be put on the Colts non-football injury list. Listing that Taylor has an apparent back injury but Taylor goes out on Twitter and states that he does not have a back injury and never did. He does not like the false reports of his health.

Taylor has been working at the teams trading camp for the past week and doesn’t seem to have any health issues. This could be due to the team’s issues with Taylor and his trade request.

More information could come out about Taylor’s meeting with Irsay. For now he wasn’t happy with it and came out requesting a trade.
