Jimmy Garoppolo is happy to be back with Josh McDaniels in Las Vegas
Orlando, Florida (PSF)- This week, one of the major signings that happened was Jimmy Garoppolo’s departure from the San Francisco 49ers. He is officially heading to the Las Vegas Raiders to open up the quarterback room for Trey Lance.
In some way this trade and settlement seem to be too perfect to end up becoming a reality. The Raiders are one of the 49ers most well-known rivals, so having one of their major players going there is very surprising. However, it is also good to know that the Raider’s current coach is Garoppolo's former offensive coordinator Josh Daniels. With a financial total of $72.75 million over three years, including $34 million in guaranteed money, but also the most important element of all: familiarity.
The 49ers apparently are okay with Garoppolo’s leaving the team, some say because he has filled what he was required and he managed to do what all he could with the team. It all started when Garoppolo departed New England after two and a half seasons spent working with some of the great players in the league and then went to the 49ers and showed what a talented player he is.
Garoppolo has stated in interviews that he intended to prove plenty when he starts his new season on the Raiders. The quarterback who has reached two NFC title games and one Super Bowl wants to improve and show the league that he is going to improve for his new team. This was also thanks to his new coach who has a great plan for him, so it is interesting to see what is going to happen next year with his new team.
