The NFL and Netflix partner up for a Quarterback series

BackstageOL

Orange, California (PSF) — In the past, the NFL has not shied away from any platforms promoting their stars. They want to continue this trend now with Netflix and their series that will follow three quarterbacks from the NFL. Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota will all be included in this new documentary. Not only will it be specifically on field content, but it will also be private access into their lives and homes.

Mahomes, of course, won the Super Bowl despite an ankle injury, and Cousins had a great season with the Vikings. Mariota was benched and ultimately left the Falcons by the end of the season.

The question brewing now that Netflix has been given the green light for this show is will the NFL allow Netflix to broadcast games. A streaming service that is not known for its live content might drop the ball, so to speak, if they eventually get access to broadcast live NFL games. As Amazon did, Netflix is making an attempt to gain access to those live games. It will be interesting to follow up this summer when the show drops and see how far Netflix will go with its access to these quarterbacks.
