Has Trevon Diggs Made a Case for Being a Top DB?? October 17, 2021 Guest User After being one of the few bright spots for the Cowboys during their season to forget in 2020, people within the Dallas organization knew and or thought of Trevon Diggs in high regards. During said 2020 season, Diggs put together a nice rookie campaign after being selected in the 2nd round of the NFL draft earlier in the year. Many have begun to recognize the dominance that Diggs has been able to sustain this season with many current and former players starting to show their respect. Diggs has credited his success to Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban for moving him from being a WR to being a CB & has also given praise to Deion Sanders for being someone to model his style of play after. Many DBs throughout the years have claimed and made a case for being the next Deion and to the surprise of no one, many haven’t been able to sustain the success that Sanders did. Diggs has certainly had a great 2021 season to this point and has stats that are so far comparable to Deion & fellow Cowboys legend Rod Woodson. With all that said, Diggs has indeed made a case for being one of the league’s top DBs after an impressive showing heading into Dallas’ bye week. Barring a major decline from Diggs or a massive resurgence from another player, it’s not entirely crazy to say that Diggs is the 2021 DPOTY. With a remaining schedule that features matchups some top matchups, Diggs will need to stay dominant to help against some offensively potent teams & to stay the course towards a potential playoff birth.Dallas’ Remaining ScheduleWeek 8 @ Minnesota Week 9 vs Denver Week 10 vs AtlantaWeek 11 @ Kansas City Week 12 vs VegasWeek 13 @ New OrleansWeek 14 @ WashingtonWeek 15 @ GiantsWeek 16 vs WashingtonWeek 17 vs ArizonaWeek 18 @ Philadelphia Reference Page FootballReference PFF NFL.com
