Giants show signs of life against the Browns
After a concerning start to the year, most people didn’t think the Giants would play as good as they did on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Malik Nabers showed why he was drafted so high in this years’ draft, having 8 receptions for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns, including some truly spectacular catches. Daniel Jones played great as well, he had 236 passing yards with 2 touchdowns and 20 rushing yards. The offense seemed to be clicking against what a lot of fans thought to be a top-5 defense in Cleveland after their dominant 2023 season.
The defense played very hard as well, only giving up 196 yards passing and 69 rushing yards. The only negative you can say defensively was letting Amari Cooper get into rhythm in the receiving game. He had 7 receptions for 86 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense made up for this however, generating 8 sacks on Deshaun Watson giving the Cleveland offensive line a lot of film to watch this week. Look for the defense to keep the momentum going as they play Dallas at home this Thursday night.
