Arlington, Texas - The Giants looked to redeem themselves against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, who gave them their first loss of the season, instead they were handed yet another loss.

Going into the game, the Giants and Cowboys were both 7-3 so it was a seemingly easy match. Whichever team took the win, would also take the second-place spot in the NFC East. Through their defensive play as well as their active offense, Dallas proved they were there to dominate.

The 28-20 win the Cowboys secured over the Giants not only moved them ahead of New York in the NFC East, but also broke their three-game losing streak.

Offensively, CeeDee Lamb was a star player for the Cowboys. During his competitive play, he set up three touchdowns and allowed for one of Dak Prescott’s scoring passes. Lamb also added to the books his first one-handed catch off of a 15-yarder.

On the defensive end, Dallas held Saquan Barkley to 39 yards and sacked Daniel Jones three times. Two of those sacks came from Micah Parsons, which gave him his sixth two-sack game of the season. On top of this, Dallas was even able to limit Jones’ yards.

Recognizing that they didn’t play to their fullest potential, all New York can do is look ahead. Next week adds to the three consecutive conference teams they have lined up.

After having a completely makeshift offensive line because of the injuries that plagued the team, the Giants seem optimistic that they can get their line back and dominate the rest of their schedule. However, looking at the injury list, it is hard to determine when most of the team will be back to play.

As of November 28th, Adoree Jackson, Daniel Bellinger, Shane Lemieux, Evan Neal, Joshua Ezeudu, Jon Feliciano, and Fabian Moreau are out. There is no specification of their status so it is still questionable as to when these players will return, or if they even will return this season.

Looking at the injured reserved, Xavier McKinney and Sterling Shepard are among the many who comprise this long list.

Though the Giants fell to the Cowboys, Graham Gano made history as he tied the New York record for the longest field goal. His kick on fourth and 32 was a 57-yarder.

The Giants will look to put an end to their losing-streak on December 4th against the Washington Commanders, as the Cowboys go on to play against the Indianapolis Colts.
