Giant comeback gets the Giants back on track

After a very disappointing Week One for the New York Giants they had a chance this past Sunday to bounce back in a giant way and that is exactly what they did. The team completed their largest comeback, down 21, since 1949 to get the 31-28 win against the Arizona Cardinals in stunning fashion. This win improves their record to 1-1 in a tough NFC East where the rest of the teams are undefeated to this point.

The game started off lopsided as the Cardinals would lead the game 20-0 heading into halftime. In the first half of the game it seemed as though the Giants could do nothing right and it had Giants fans remembering the disaster of what happened the previous Sunday. However, things would change and the team came out of halftime with a completely different attitude and gameplan. The first play for the Giants out of halftime was a deep pass to Jalin Hyatt who was able to haul it in and this play would spark the Giants comeback.

At the end of the game the Giants kicker Graham Gano was able to make a field goal to put the team up by three points and ultimately complete the comeback. It was evident in the second half that the leaders of this Giants team stepped up and performed to help their team. Two players on the offensive side of the ball put on great second half performances and they were quarterback Daniel Jones as well as running back Saquon Barkley. They were able to lead the offense to score on every drive they had in the second half. This comeback win displayed the teams determination while also showing how they responded under pressure. Even though it is still early in the season, the Giants needed this win to keep their season alive and they did it. It is worthy to note that Barkley was injured on one of the last plays of the game and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks with a high ankle sprain. Certainly the best weapon the Giants have on offense will be missed but how will the Giants respond and gameplan in the meantime?
