Quarterback Trevor Lawrence began his preseason with his best performance against the Dallas Cowboys, leading the Jaguars to two first-half touchdowns finishing the game with a win of 34-14 ending the 2021 preseason at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Lawrence, playing against the Dallas Cowboys, shot a long pass to Wide Reciever Phillip Dorset II giving them a touchdown. The Jacksonville Jaguars held Dallas without a first down at the beginning of the game and then drove 68 yards on their first possession and took the lead with a score of seven. Through the second quarter, the Jaguars controlled the game and Lawrence’s second touchdown pass came close to the end. A beautiful four-yard pass to Shenault in the corner of the end zone giving them fourteen. Kicker Josh Lambo converted 45 yards and pushed the Jaguars’ lead, giving them seventeen over Dallas. The Jaguars then pushed the lead with twenty-four points when Luton passed 11 yards to Wide Reciever Laquon Treadwell in the third quarter. The Jacksonville Jaguars put up their final points thanks to Lambo converting from 34 yards with running back Devine Ozigbo’s four-yard giving them thirty-four points by the fourth quarter.

For the Dallas Cowboys, it was obvious that many of the team’s starters didn’t even play-Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott among them. With them out it was backup Quarter Back Cooper Rush’s chance to shine bright on his first start of the preseason. However, he and multiple other backups were facing off against Jacksonville Jaguar’s starters which didn’t lead to a great game for the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys, (0-4) finished the preseason without any wins. First-quarter Dallas couldn’t get much going and the team only managed 35 offensive yards. Garrett Gilbert led the Cowboys to their first score-an 18-yard toss to Wide Reciever Aaron Parker, that brought points to the board and Dallas stood at seven. The Cowboys didn’t score up until the end of the Fourth Quarter by Quarter Back DiNucci that made a pass to Johnnie Dixon, giving Dallas their final points ending the game on their end with fourteen.

Dallas had an opportunity to add to their total after Mukuamu hauled a pass to give to the Cowboys at their own 34-yard line with only a minute left in the game. Greg Zuerlein had the opportunity for a 56-yard field goal but the kick was just too far off to the left.

The end of the preseason game ended Jacksonville 34 and the Dallas Cowboys 14.
