New Orleans, Lousiana- (PSF) - Foster Moreau has been in the NFL since the 2019 season. Moreau was drafted out of LSU by the Las Vegas Raiders. Though he never started due to playing under start tight end Darren Waller, he still had an impact on the Raiders offense. In his four years with the team, he totaled 12 touchdowns showing he could be a favorable target in the redzone.

Earlier this year, Moreau planned on signing with the New Orleans Saints. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until he recieved life changing news. Moreau was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma following a phhysical with the Saints. After learning of the news, he stepped away from the NFL to focus on treatment.

A few months passed and things already started to look up for the tight end. Only two months after stepping away for treatment, Moreau would officially sign a three-year, $12 million deal with the Saints. Thats not all that changed, Moreau eventually was healthy enough to participate in the Saints’ organized team activities at the end of May. Now as of July 3rd per Moreau on twitter, he is officially in full remission from the cancer.

Moreau will now add to New Orleans’ passing game, he has a ton of upside in this offense due to him previously playing with Dereck Carr who is now the starting quarterback for the Saints. I personally am excited to see how Moreau and tight end Juwan Johnson are implemented into the passing game this year. Both players are threats at the vertical level and will only improve the offense when on the field together.
