Former NFL Cornerback Vontae Davis Found Dead at Age 35
Vontae Davis was found dead Monday morning in the household of Adaline Davis, grandmother of the former NFL player.
Davis was a 2009 first round draft selection by the Miami Dolphins out of the University of Illinois. He was named to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team and recorded 9 interceptions throughout his three year career with the Dolphins.
After being traded to the Colts, Davis was recognized league-wide by being selected to the Pro Bowl in 2014 and 2015.
Davis is also infamous for retiring at halftime of a Week 2 matchup while he was a member of the Buffalo Bills.
He is the brother of two time pro bowl tight end Vernon Davis and husband to Megan Harpe.
