Odell Beckham Jr.’s Next Stop is Still up for Grabs

Mark J. Rebilas - USA Today

Odell Beckham Jr.’s name has been in the media recently as he finishes up rehabbing his torn ACL he suffered during last season’s Super Bowl. In the middle of last season, Beckham signed a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams worth up to $4.25 million. Beckham has expressed interest in staying with the Rams, but according to his tweets, they didn’t offer him enough money.

If the Rams don’t up their offer, where could Odell Beckham Jr. end up? Here’s a few teams he’s expressed interest in.

New York Giants

GMEN HQ

Not a big surprise here. The Giants drafted him in 2014, and this is the team he became a star with. It also helps that the Giants have been having more success this season than previous years.

In October, Beckham went to the Giants facilities and met with a few players, including Sterling Shepard and Saquon Barkley. Although this could look like a visit to talk about joining the team, he didn’t meet with General Manager Joe Schoen or Head Coach Brian Daboll.

Although he didn’t meet with anyone in the front office officially, I wouldn’t count the Giants out considering the history he has in New York.

Dallas Cowboys

Earlier this week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that although he loves the receiving corps Dallas currently has, he appreciates the talent that Beckham portrays and would love to see the Cowboys star on Beckham’s helmet.

Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons took to Twitter telling Beckham to come down to Dallas, and Beckham replied saying his dad’s side of the family is in Dallas.

He hasn’t met with the team officially yet, but if they call him with the right offer, Odell could wind up in DFW very soon.

Green Bay Packers

The only talk about Beckham joining the Packers has been through word of mouth. Beckham has not gone to Green Bay to meet with any team executives or talk to any players, but he has publicly said he would be open to joining the Packers. That being said, the Packers haven’t been very good this year, and given that Beckham wants a multi-year deal, it seems very unlikely that he will sign with them.

He would be a great asset to the team, as they basically have no good wide receivers right now, but their lack of wins will keep Beckham away.

Buffalo Bills

If Beckham signed with the Bills, they would be seemingly impossible to beat. They already have an incredible quarterback and wide receiver, a great running back, and a great defense. Adding Beckham to the receiving corps would make the offense unstoppable. After a while, it probably wouldn’t be fun to watch them anymore because they would destroy every opponent.

Linebacker Von Miller played with Beckham for the Rams last season, and has shown that he would love to suit up with Beckham again. He knows what kind of teammate Beckham is and is confident he would be a great fit in Buffalo.

Everything is speculation at this point, but he’s obviously going to go to a winning team for the right price. He has expressed that he wants a multi-year deal, so whoever gives him the right money for the right amount of time, Beckham will be sold in an instant.
