Five Fantasy Running Backs To Grab Off the Waiver Wire For Week 3

In lieu of all the injuries we saw this week, chances are you have a hole in your fantasy lineup entering week 3. Don’t fear, your chances of earning the crown aren’t over yet. Here are 5 backs you should claim to help salvage your season.

Jerome Ford

Following Nick Chubb’s season-ending knee injury this past week, you’re definitely in despair. Look to Ford to cure your fantasy woes. The 24 year old is set to be RB1 in Cleveland.

Kyren Williams

With the Rams playing surprisingly well, Williams has stepped up as the lead back in Los Angeles. He’s had 14+ touches a game and 3 touchdowns through two weeks. Definitely pick him up if he hasn’t been snatched off waivers yet.

Zack Moss

At least until Jonathan Taylor is back, which seems like it won’t be anytime soon (or maybe not at all), Moss appears to be the go-to-guy in Indianapolis. He missed week one due to injury, but in week two, he had 18 carries for 88 yards and a touchdown. Expect this type of production from him moving forward if Taylor continues to sit.

Gus Edwards

If you’re in desperate need of a back and can’t get any of the other options on this list, grab Gus Edwards. He’s only about 30% rostered and he makes up the Raven’s running game with Justice Hill. He’s touchdown-dependent, but he gets the ball in important goal line situations.

Craig Reynolds

With the injury to David Montgomery, the Lions will lean on Reynolds as their power back, specifically in third down situations. They’ve used Jahmyr Gibbs as more of a special utility back, so it’s expected that Reynolds will see more touches in his new role.
