Fantasy Football 2023: TE Rankings and Tiers
With the NFL season coming around the corner, one of the most anticipated and talked about topics in the football community: The start of the NFL Fantasy season has arrived. As always it’s traditional fantasy rankings one step further and arranging them into tiers to help prepare you to dominate your drafts. This year the people who were ranked at the top of the fantasy draft were some of the star stellar players of last year's season.

There were many talks about who would be at the top for the NFL Fantasy ranks. There were many talks about Justin Fields being ahead of Jalen Hurts, but in the end, the man himself Travis Kelce was named number one for the Tier 1 and Rank 1. He was the first choice for many people for the number one in the draft for the first round. I think he is the obvious choice because he was the key for the victory on the Super Bowl and he is on his way to becoming one of the greatest Chiefs players of all time.
The others ranks, pretty much on the Tier 2 were Mark Andrews, T.J Hockeson, and George Kittle. Andrews was the TE4 last year, averaging 12.7 points per game, among the others Ravens players he is the one that has stood out the most with his strategy and pick-up games. Hockenson surprised everyone last year when he went from the Lions to the Vikings, he pretty much changed from a great season to an even better one, showing his skills can be improved even if he changes team. Lastly Kittle kept doing a great job last season, he made 11 touchdown receptions and has been ranking in the top 5 of the NFL Fantasy Leagues from the last 5 years.

In the top 3, we have the players who were ranked from 5 to 10. Coming in number 5 we have the surprise of last year Kyle Pitts, many people were expecting him to rank higher up but due to his knee injury he couldn’t reach more with his abilities. He did an excellent job with an average 5.8 targets per game, which would mean roughly 100 over the course of a full season. The others players who ranked at the Tier 3 were Dallas Goedert, Pat Freirmuth, Darren Waller, Dalton Schultz, and Evan Engram. All great choices but some were a surprise to see reaching these ranks.
This year Fantasy League wasn’t much of a surprise, mostly because people were expecting to see these players. We didn’t had a great surprise in the middle of seasons with a player showing up with mad skills and achieving a great amount of targets and scores. Once the next season starts we will see how these players will play around with the main games.
