Eagles week 7 takeaways
In week 7 Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles took a trip to Las Vegas to take on Derek Carr and the Raiders. This game was one that a lot of people could see as a potential win for us, but I know personally, I expected to see all the things we saw in this game today. The Eagles, again tried to make a comeback late in the game, but leading up to the comeback attempt, it was overall a very sloppy game on both sides of the ball for the Eagles. The Eagles defense which is usually our strong suit, was a mess. The defense could not stop the run and also gave up a lot of deep passes, which Derek Carr is typically known for. On the offensive side of the ball things were very sloppy. Jalen Hurts threw an INT and had a lost fumble, and overall the team had 3 fumbles, 2 of them being lost fumbles. It seems like overall the team did not prepare for this as much as they needed to which led to their 5th loss of the season. Miles Sanders also got injured in this game which was a big hit for the Eagles. We have other running backs who are fairly decent, but Sanders is definitely our best one. In this game something that was really nice to see was a little bit more of a diverse playcalling and incorporating the rush a lot more, sopefully Sanders willl be able to come back in a week or two to keep that going. Even though there were a lot of mistakes and sloppy plays in this game, seeing the run game become a little more prominent was definitely a huge win out of this game.
