Eagles Week 10 Takeaways

Week 10; the week the Eagles finally pulled off a win! Before this game, the Eagles were very hot and cold and could not defeat a good football team. I was definitely nervous for this game and could see it going either way. Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of visible improvement from this Eagles team, but the Broncos were also on a little bit of a hot streak and beat the Cowboys in week 9. Jordan Howard and Boston Scott really helped lead this team to victory with all of the success they had running the ball. Historically, whenever we can establish a solid run game early, we play astronomically better. Jalen Hurts also made a lot of smart decisions with the ball. He knew when to get rid of the ball, he knew when to make a play out of the situation he was in, and he knew when to use his feet. Over the last few weeks, Hurts has really begun to evolve and show what he can do. I know my confidence in Hurts is getting pretty strong after the way he has been playing recently. Hurts was also much more accurate in this game and really maximized what he could do. Devonta Smith was also a huge contributor in this game. Even though he only had 4 receptions for 66 yards, he had 2 receiving touchdowns and made plays when we needed it most. The special teams also made a huge play by blocking a 22-yard field goal attempt by the Broncos. Even though the team had a different fire and spark to them and played much better, this was not a perfect game by any means. On both sides of the ball, big plays were given up, such as Watkins missing a TD pass, and the defense allowing huge rushing plays. At the end of the day, the team really rallied and worked together to pull off a much-needed and impressive win.
