Buffalo builds for a return

Going into this season, the Buffalo Bills are the most Super Bowl ready team in the NFL. Don’t forget his team was just one play away from the AFC championship as they came up short against one of the greatest NFL trios in the Super Bowl era.

When you look at this team’s roster top to bottom, there isn’t a single position group that lacks talent. Many forget that they lost their best defensive player and number one corner in Tre’Davious White just before the playoffs. It goes without saying they desperately needed him in the divisional round against the Chiefs. Despite him being a defensive player, his impact on a game is not to be overlooked. He’s one of the premiere lock down corners in today’s NFL. Had he played in that playoff game against KC, it could have changed the outcome.

Also on the defensive side of the ball, the Bills added all-pro, two-time Super Bowl champ and future hall of famer Von Miller. If there was one thing the Bills needed in their playoff loss to the Chiefs, it would be QB pressure. Although this is one of the less talked about signings this off-season, it could have the biggest impact in the long run when no one sees is coming. Similar to a game ending sack. Miller will also make the jobs of Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde easier as they are already the best safety duo in all of the NFL. I fully expect this defense to be amongst the top five in every defensive category this season as well as an all time high production level from Von Miller.

On the flip side, Josh Allen has already cemented himself as a top five quarterback across the league. Allen is known for one of the strongest arms we’ve ever seen at this level. At times we’ve seen him miss the easy throws but what makes him special is his poise in the pocket, his ability to extend plays with his legs, his split decision making, and he’s extremely hard to tackle. If you plan on tackling this guy in open field, think twice. Allen has the rare ability to run through you, pass you or jump completely over you. He is hands down now the most dominant dual threat quarterback in all of football with his elite passing and running ability.

Also on the offensive side of the ball, the Bills are returning all key starters. They’ve locked in Stefon Diggs over the next six years, who’s a top five guy at his position. Gabriel Davis is also returning and looking to have a career year after his record breaking game in their playoff lost. Dawson Knox will be returning & will be accompanied by O.J. Howard who should also be a another huge target across the middle for Allen. My favorite off season addition for Buffalo would have to be the acquisition of Georgia standout and Miami native James Cook, the younger brother of Dalvin Cook. He will be a great addition to this offense with his great play making ability, elusiveness, speed and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and take it for six. He should split time with Singletary & Moss early on but this guy can be a game changer for them in the long run.

This upcoming season has a minimum of six to eight potential Super Bowl ready teams. At the top of everyone’s list should sit the Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen is ready for the big stage and so is the rest of this team from top to bottom. I fully expect this team to be in the AFC championship this season if they can stay healthy.
