Detroit averages the 4th most yards in the league at a whopping 377 total yards per game and 7th in scoring at almost 25 points per game. However, the Ravens were on a mission to prove themselves as bon-a-fide Super Bowl contenders. Detroit was held to only 84 total rushing yards, a stark comparison to their 118 rushing yards per game on the season. Jared Goff was forced to throw the ball 53 times due to being down big early in the ball game.

Lamar Jackson put on an MVP performance, throwing for 357 yards and 3 touchdowns on only 27 attempts while also rushing for 36 yards and another touchdown. Lamar has certainly had his share of MVP-level games this season, and with a 5-2 record going into State Farm Stadium against a scrappy Arizona Cardinals team, Jackson has a chance to put himself squarely in the MVP discussion with another great performance. Afterwards, their will be tested over the following weeks against teams such as the Seahawks, the Bengals, the Chargers, and the Rams.

For Detroit, they are still in prime position within the NFC, as they are still 5-2 and they lead the NFC North comfortably. However, if Detroit wants the rest of the league to take them seriously as Super Bowl contenders, they are going to have to win key games against other contending teams.
