Darnell Mooney 'Ready to Roll' for 2023 Training Camp

Chicago, Illinois (PSF) - The Bears are a team that has a lot of potential to be a great team, but because of some drama and troubles with management, they are still on developing a new strategic tactic so they can be at full force. A certain player that made headlines was wide receiver Darnell Mooney who had his 2022 campaign cut short by an ankle injury that required surgery, but he’s going to gear up in time for Chicago’s training camp.

According to some recent news, Mooney is feeling a lot better but for health reasons, he will only start playing again when the Bears kick off their camp on July 26th. However, he has a lot to catch up and improve on, mostly because he didn’t have the greatest season last year. Mooney only had 40 receptions for 493 yards and two touchdowns as the Bear’s number one target in the passing game.

Mooney has stated that during his time on his break from the team he has been keeping up with the news and getting himself informed on what to do next. He learned to be patient, sit down and not do too much. He has been taking it slowly so he can start the Bear’s camp and go back to the main field of action.

During his absence the offseason addition of D.J Moore slots Mooney into the number two role entering the final year of his rookie contract. With attention paid to Moore, Mooney should be fine with the style and ideas being settled with his own team.

The Bears are prepared to have their new season and to start their 2023 training camp. It might take a while for him to back to run at full speed and show off his full potential again, but with the right dedication we can see Mooney bring some new life energy to the team and help his teammates achieve victory.
