Most Cowboy fans looking ahead in the schedule at the beginning of the year wouldn’t have imagined the importance of tonight’s game. After all, in the past 20 meetings, America’s team has 16 wins compared to a measly 4 wins for Big Blue in that time span. But Dallas now finds itself in a must-win game, after back to back weeks of disappointing results. Dallas was embarrassed at home last week, falling to the Ravens 28 to 25 in a game in which the scoreboard did not tell the entire story of the game. Dallas ranks dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game, allowing a staggering 185 yards on the ground per game. The panic button has been pressed in Arlington, and things need to change fast for Mike McCarthy if he wants to keep his job.

On the contrary, the Giants will be buzzing entering this matchup. Big Blue upset the Browns in Cleveland getting their first win of the season. Rookie sensation Malik Nabers has taken the NFL world by storm last week, with his two touchdown performance. The former Louisiana State Tiger ranks 1st in the league for receptions with 23. After a horrendous week 1 showing, Daniel Jones has been playing well, with the quarterback having four passing touchdowns with no turnovers. Big Blue may have finally got their wrecking crew back, as the Giants front seven devoured Deshaun Watson, sacking him eight times and forcing two fumbles. Momentum is definitely with the Giants for this game, and it will be interesting to see if Brian Daboll and his team can build on it.

If there has been any consistency in the NFL for the past couple of years, it’s that Dak Prescott loves a game vs the Giants. The 240 million dollar man has an outstanding record vs the G-Men going 12-2 during his career. Dak hasn’t lost a game to the Giants since December 11th, 2016, making it almost eight years now. If Prescott beats the Giants tonight, it’ll mark 13 consecutive wins against the same team, a feat only achieved or surpassed by the likes of Bob Griese, Steve Young, and Tom Brady. In order for Dallas to escape the Meadowlands with a victory, they’ll need Dak to continue this excellence against the Giants.

If the Giants, wish to vanquish their demons and finally beat Dak Prescott, then they’re going to need their defensive line to feast again. Brian Burns, Dexter Lawerence, Elijah Chatman, and Kayvon Thibodeaux will have get pressure and sacks. The Giants secondary has struggled to contain superstar wide receivers such as Justin Jefferson and Amari Cooper. It’s not gonna get easier at all tonight, as New York will have to find a way to shutdown Ceedee Lamb. Lamb hasn’t been at his best this season, but Dallas will surely do everything in their power to get him involved. Flipping over to the offensive side of the ball, the Giants will look to pounce on Dallas’s horrid run defense with Devin Singletary. Finally, Malik Nabers will be hungry to keep up his stellar performances, and with Dallas missing all pro corner Daron Bland, Nabers should have yet another big day.

Despite, Dallas’s struggles it’s still hard to envision them losing this game. With superstar talent in the likes of Micah Parsons, Ceedee Lamb, and Dak Prescott, the Cowboys will pull themselves just over the line. The Giants will make it close, but ultimately will fall to their kryptonite in Dak Prescott.

Score Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 24 New York Giants 23
