With the Dallas Cowboys heading to Santa Clara in a rematch of last season’s Divisional Round game against the San Francisco 49ers this week, they can see the return of their full starting offensive line. That starting line includes Tyron Smith at left tackle, Tyler Smith at left guard, Tyler Biadasz at center, Zack Martin at right guard and Terence Steele at right tackle. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, this starting line has seen its fair share of injuries.

This season, Tyron Smith has battled a knee injury that he sustained in practice before the Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals, which has held him out of the past two games. Back in 2021, Smith also dealt with an ankle injury that had him in and out of games for the second half of the season. Tyler Smith dealt with an ankle injury before Week 1 causing him to miss the first two games of the season. In Week 4, Smith was ranked as the highest-graded offensive player by PFF with a 93.7 rating.

Tyler Biadasz suffered a hamstring injury in practice the same day cornerback Trevon Diggs tore his ACL. This caused Biadasz to miss the Cardinals game, but he was back for the Week 4 game against the New England Patriots. Zack Martin in this season has dealt with a few injuries. First he had a groin injury while playing in the first game of the season against the New York Giants. Martin then joined Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz in missing the game against the Cardinals, as he had an ankle injury he sustained in practice. Finally in the game against the Patriots, Martin suffered a bruised quad.

Terence Steele has had himself a journey this past year as back on December 11th he tore both his ACL and MCL against the Houston Texans. Miraculously he was able to work his way back and get medically cleared to play at the start of training camp this season and has continued to play ever since.

The last time these five players started at the same time was back in 2021. With the release of the Cowboys Friday Injury Report, all five fully participated in the practice and none have an injury designation for this Sunday night’s game. The last true indicator to lock in the offensive line is when the Cowboys have their Saturday walkthrough. If all goes well in the walkthrough the Cowboys will receive a well needed improvement offensively against a daunting 49ers defense.
