Dallas, Texas (PSF) - Reporting by Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram indicates that second year defensive end Sam Williams was arrested on Sunday night in Frisco, TX. There were two charges—one a controlled substance charge for alleged possession of marijuana and an unlawful carrying of a weapon charge. The former charge is a low-level felony, the latter is a misdemeanor.

Last December, Williams was involved in a two-car crash, which resulted in an arrest warrant. Williams was only cited for a misdemeanor. Details later emerged when Plano police said that Williams was driving up to 98 MPH in a 55 MPH zone shortly before the crash.

During his college career at Mississppi, Williams was suspended after being charged with sexual battery. Two months later, he was reinstated after the charges were dropped.

It will be intriguing to see what steps, if any, are taken by the NFL in response to the latest incident.
