Foles was originally drafted with the 88th overall pick in the NFL Draft in 2012 by the Philadelphia Eagles and backed up Michael Vick. After Vick went down with an injury, Foles started and continued to start for the entirety of the year.

Foles returned to the Eagles in 2017 where he was the backup for former 2nd overall pick Carson Wentz. After Wentz had a season ending injury which ended up being a torn ACL, Foles stepped up for the Eagles and helped carry the team to the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. Foles ended up winning Super Bowl MVP and helped the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory.
