“Chase”ing a Better Overall

One of the biggest times of the year in the gaming world, the release of the new Madden game, and more specifically the releasing of the player ratings. As fans all across the country eagerly wait to see where their team’s players will end up on the list, there was one rating in specific this year that has made quite a buzz, no matter what team you cheer for.

Star rookie Ja’Marr Chase was a star from the moment he took his first NFL snap. His top tier route running matched with his elite speed made him a threat all DB’s feared, and also made him Joe Burrow’s favorite target. In just his first year, Chase finished with the fourth most receiving yards in the league on top of finishing with the third most receiving touchdowns.

Now with stats like those most already consider him an elite and top tier receiver, that is except for Madden. As it stands. Ja’Marr Chase comes in ranked WR number 20 in Madden ratings. Guys like Tyler Lockett, Chris Godwin and Adam Thielen all come in above him. It has sparked a nationwide shock by football fans whether they cheer for the Bengals or not. It has come to such a shock that even Tom Brady took to Twitter telling Chase not to worry that Madden didn’t even put Brady in the game his second year in the league.

While this has come to the shock of many, Chase is not letting this get to him. His only comments are how this is “motivation to get even better”. Now playing with an even bigger chip on his shoulder, eyes will be on Chase this next year to see if he can back up all the hype and prove Madden, and all the other doubters wrong.
