Can the Packers Turn it Around?

The Green Bay Packers are now on a three-game losing streak after their Sunday loss to the Denver Broncos.

After the comeback win against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3, many fans felt the horizon was getting brighter and brighter and that this team was finally finding its groove.

The Packers hope came crashing down when they got completely outplayed by the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football with quarterback Jordan Love struggling to get into a rhythm, throwing two interceptions in the devastating loss.

It did not get any better the following week when they lost to a Raiders team that had just their last three games in a row. Jordan Love had an even worse game than the week before throwing three interceptions and overall struggling to get into a rhythm all game.

After their third straight loss this past week, many fans are starting to lose hope in the team and doubting if the team can come back from this down streak with how competitive the wild card race will be in the NFC this year.

So, can they come back from this down stretch? Of course, it is possible, but they need to get momentum and fast if they wish to have a shot at the playoffs.

Right now, the NFC Wild Card teams are the Cowboys and Seahawks both sitting with a 4-2 record the reverse of the 2-4 record of the Packers. The Packers schedule is not anything to scoff at nonetheless with games against the Chiefs, Chargers and Lions still coming up in the coming weeks. They also still have five divisional matchups with one left against both the Lions and Bears and still two matchups against the Vikings.

The Packers need to focus on getting running back Aaron Jones back and fully healthy because when they have a solid run game it gives Love more of an opportunity to control the clock and flow of the game better.

The bright spot of this team is their defense, holding their opponents to 20 or less points in four out of their six games. When the offense finally gets into their full rhythm with all their stars healthy this team can become a dangerous dark horse in the Wild Card and NFC North playoff race.

The Packers play at home this week against their division rival Minnesota Vikings at 1:00 PM EST with Aaron Jones expected to be healthy for the game.
