The big move in the offseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars was acquiring star wide receiver Calvin Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons for a couple draft picks. Since his arrival to Jacksonville this season Ridley has seen plenty of the low moments that had unfolded out on the field. As after his week 1 performance where he showed the Jaguars that he can be their number one wide receiver when he totaled 8 receptions on 11 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown, Ridley has just two 100 yard games in Jaguars uniform. On the season he has total 33 receptions for 451 yards and two touchdowns on the year. The Jacksonville wide receiver has averaged 13.7 yards per catch.

One of the main concerns as the season has progressed is the play of Calvin Ridley, as his struggles to catch the football has just half way through the season Ridley has dropped his career on drop passes at nine and has seen struggles. Although he has dropped many passes, it still has not affected the way the Jaguars are playing as they are on a 5 game winning streak heading into the bye week.

In the next time the Jaguars take the field it will be against the San Francisco 49ers who have struggled in covering the passing game as over the last three weeks they have given up 272.7 passing yards a game and could benefit Calvin Ridley who has a chance to turn around his season and get hot as the Jaguars will be looking to play deep into the playoffs.
