News:
Per DJ Bien-Aime II, Elijah Moore performed well looking, “fast, quick, sharp, all of it.” Zach Wilson started the 11-on-11 session with two big plays. Wilson found Elijah Moore on a deep-breaking out route and a 50 yard touchdown to Jeff Smith.
Per DJ Bien-Aime II, Wilson had a rollercoaster day. He went six-of-nine in team drills, but during red zone 7-on-7, Wilson went two-of-eight with an interception. Wilson went one-for-three during two-minute drill.
Per Brian Costello, Jeff Smith has gotten lots of reps with the starters.
Per Connor Hughes, no updates on the Jets’ decision to sign visiting veteran free agents Riley Reiff (OT), Kwon Alexander (LB), and Larry Ogunjobi (DT)
Injury Report:
Per Ralph Vacchiano, Robert Saleh expects offensive tackle George Fant (knee) will be fully ready for the start of training camp.
Rookie Showcase:
Per Connor Hughes, Sauce Gardner makes impressive play defending Corey Davis. It appeared that Davis had a step but Gardner closed the space, contested the ball, and ripped it away. Gardner also intercepted Wilson during 7-on-7 and ran it back for an 100 yard pick-six.

Notable Performer:
Jeff Smith
Per Connor Hughes, Jeff Smith is the Jets’ star of the summer. Smith smoked Bryce Hall and scored a 50-yard touchdown.
Per Robby Sabo, Jeff Smith had a one-handed 25-30 yard touchdown grab in the back of the end zone. Cornerback Isaiah Dunn had solid coverage, but Wilson placed the ball perfectly in stride.
Jet Nostalgia:
On December 19, 2010, the New York Jets faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at a snowy Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The Jets were coming off back-to-back losses versus the Patriots and Miami Dolphins, where the Jets' offense failed to score a touchdown. Brad Smith got the ball rolling early with this incredible opening kick return touchdown. The Jets went on to win the game, 22-17.
