Big Win for the Vikings against the chargers
The Minnesota Vikings desperately needed a win to combat the numerous concerns and frustrations related to the coaching staff. A back and forth game that ultimately was put away by the offensive playmakers for the Vikings.
This is the exact game the Vikings needed to show how confident the team is in their own abilities to make plays and win football games. Justin Jefferson had a fantastic game finishing with 9 receptions and 143 receiving yards plus many spectacular catches that presented his exceptional talent.
The offense of the Vikings seemed more aggressive and confident in their game. Dalvin Cook finished with 24 carries for 94 yards which is right around where the Vikings would like him. Getting Cook the ball is a huge part of the offense and it shows when Jefferson and Adam Thielen have 14 receptions combined.
Another big factor was Kirk Cousins who threw for almost 300 yards and added 2 touchdowns. When the Vikings needed a big play or big conversion, Cousins was not afraid to throw the ball downfield and trust his impact players to make a play for the team which they did.
The Minnesota defense was once again rock solid. Giving up only 20 points while also getting an interception off of Justin Herbert. The Vikings defense has been the most consistent part of the team and it showed again on Sunday.
This play on both sides of the ball is what the Vikings must do if they want to beat their division rival, the Green Bay Packers, in Week 11.
