Are The Giants Gaining Their Reputation Back?

Jacksonville Florida - The Jaguars had the home field advantage, expecting to give them the confidence they needed to put an end to their three game loosing streak. But after facing New York, their loosing streak just got even longer.
Though the Jaguars have had a loosing streak, the Giants on the other had have been on a winning streak. Since week three, they have won every game they have played by at least a four point margin.
As the Giants continue to push through their schedule, is there hope that the franchise is changing their brand image for the better?
Well, lets look at some stats.
First looking at New York’s passing game, Daniel Jones leads the way. There was speculation about his play at the beginning of the season, but he has proven to stick in there with every game he has played.
Jones is about 67% on completions and secures an average of 174.7 yards per game. Playing in all seven games so far, he has a total of 1,223 passing yards. With the right players on the field to complement his strengths, Jones can continue to excel and maybe even enhance his performance.
No surprise that Saquon Barkley leads the team in rushing yards. With 726 total rushing yards over the course of seven games, Barkley has proven to be a powerhouse for New York.
He manages to rush 103.7 yards per game and has been named energy player of the week multiple times by the franchise.
But Barkley isn’t the only player who has helped the team with rushing. Coming in second behind him is Daniel Jones.
As a quarterback Jones has played a good ground game. He secures 5.9 yards per rush attempt adding to a total of 343 yards for him this season.
On the receiving end, wide receiver Richie James leads the way. He has 20 receptions and a total of 191 receiving yards after playing in seven games.
Behind him only in receiving yards is Sterling Shepard. After playing only three games, he has an average of 11.8 yards per reception and 51.3 receiving yards per game.
New York’s defense has also been paving the way for the team’s wins. The Giants have 461 total tackles, including solo and assist tackles, over seven games. Their defense also has 65 total sack yards, and 27 interception yards.
On the scoring end the team is powering through. By the end of week seven, the offence teamed up for fifteen total touchdowns, racking in a total of 150 points. This translates to an average of 21.4 total points per game which has been a major factor that contributes to their victories.
After assessing each factor of Giants play, it is clear that the team is on a comeback. Whether it be by relying on key players such as Daniel Jones or Saquan Barkley to lead the way, or by focusing on game specialization squads, the Giants have proven that they are no longer the underdogs. Instead they are a fierce competitor to be reckon with.
