A Bears Fan’s Reaction to the Bears Win-Week 7

The aroma in the air changed last week. It gave the aroma of cannon smoke and mahogany. Alright enough with the weird stuff. The Bears won.

Quarterback Tyson Bagent led the offense in an inspiring performance. It wasn’t the biggest of performances but it was a good one at the very least. The defense meanwhile kept the Raiders in check. To the point where the Raiders brought in a rookie backup to finish the game. The Bears record currently is 2-5 and, while we’re last in the NFC North, we still are looking solid. Here we go!

Offense

Bagent looked pretty solid in his first career start. He threw for 162 yards and one touchdown against the Raiders. Running back D’Onta Foreman was the best offensive performer for the Bears. He ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a solid receiving performance with 31 yards and one touchdown.

Defense

It seems the defense is finally starting to get chemistry and perform how they were expected to. Defensive tackle Justin Jones got a sack on Raiders quarterback Brian Hoyer in the lone sack of the day for the defense.

The two main contributors were linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and cornerback Jaylon Johnson. Edmunds had his first interception with the Bears. Johnson had his first two interceptions since two years ago. He isn’t known for generating turnovers but is known for being a good lockdown corner. One of his interceptions was returned for a touchdown.

Honestly, this was one of my more shorter articles, but there’s not much left to say. It was a clean game on our part and we kept the Raiders in check. The final score was 30-12 and next they’ll take on the Los Angeles Chargers for Sunday Night Primetime.
