Jonathan Taylor and Colts Drama Continues

AP News

Indianapolis, Indiana (PSF) - With recent issues with Jonathan Taylor and the Colts, the Colts signed running back veteran Kenyan Drake.

Drake will be entering his 4th team in just 4 years. He plans to start if Taylor holds out over future contract extension issues.

Taylor who is entering his last year of his rookie contract, spoke with Colts owner Jim Irsay recently and was not happy about the meeting. He was out on a non-football injury list which will keep him out of team activities for the time being.

Taylor claims that the sources are false and he is not dealing nor ever felt with back injury.

The Colts sign Drake as a safe net in case Taylor decides he is still going to be upset about his contract with the Colts.Taylor had made it known that he doesn’t want to be with the team anymore and requested a trade last week.

Owner Jim Irsay says they do not plan on trading Taylor now or before the trade deadline this season.

Indianapolis could have similar strategies such as the Giants did when they signed James Robinson when Saquon Barkley was having problems with his contract.

Taylor can definitely not be happy about this signing and could take it in a disrespectful way.
