Buffalo Bills Release Six Players to Remain Under Cap

According to Ian Rapoport, the Buffalo Bills have released cornerback Tre'Davious White, safety Jordan Poyer, defensive back Siran Neal, center Mitch Morse, running back Nyheim Hines and punter returner/ wide receiver Deonte Harty.

Cutting these six players saved the Bills $36.16 million in cap space. Morse, White and Poyer would have eaten up around $26.2 million of the Bills cap space if they stayed on the team entering the 2024 offseason. However, losing all three of these players at once is a huge loss for the Bills since each one of them are former All-Pros. Morse was an All-Pro at center this season, White last all pro appearance was in 2020 and Poyer’s last all pro appearance was in 2021.

Being cut ends each of the three players’ long tenures in Buffalo. Morse was signed by the Bills in 2019, Poyer joined Buffalo in 2017 and White was drafted by Buffalo in 2018.

As for Harty, Hines and Neal they didn’t have as much of an impact in Buffalo, but they will still need to be replaced.

Could more potential cuts be coming in Buffalo and if so how much will it hurt their chances to win the AFC again next season?
