8. Brock Purdy

Mr. Irrelevant is the name given to the last pick of the NFL draft and this past year the honor went to Brock Purdy. No man has become so relevant so fast in the NFL though. When injuries occurred to the 49er’s quarterbacks, Brock Purdy had to step up for the Super Bowl ready team. He has not lost since becoming the starter and it seems that he has no plans to lose. He has played excellent in his time as a starter and looks like a true Super Bowl hopeful quarterback.

7. Daniel Jones

If I were to say at the beginning of the season that Daniel Jones would lead the New York Giants to the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, you would have called me crazy. Not only did Daniel Jones have a stellar season, but he also secured his future as a starting NFL quarterback for years to come. Look out for some magic in his first playoff run.

6. Trevor Lawrence

The second half of the regular season was Trevor Lawrence’s time. Leading the Jaguars to five straight regular season wins and to clinch the division is no small task, but Trevor Lawrence did just that. While he greatly struggled in the first half of the Wild Card round with multiple picks, he showed he doesn’t let anything phase him and propelled his team to one of the greatest comebacks in NFL playoff history.

5. Dak Prescott

In his career, Dak Prescott has been put in the MVP conversation but also has greatly struggled at times. No matter what though, Dak is the Cowboys quarterback. Coming off a brilliant game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with five total touchdowns, look for him to keep the momentum going in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers.

4. Jalen Hurts

While Jalen Hurts was on track to win his first MVP, injuries derailed him. The only reason he isn’t higher on this list is because of that shoulder injury that stopped the path he was on. Now though, he is back and is ready to pick up where he started. The Eagles are a true powerhouse, but as his absence showed, they are nothing without Hurts and need him to win it all.

3. Josh Allen

While many predicted this would be Josh Allen’s’ MVP year, they were unfortunately wrong. Issues such as red zone turnovers stopped his MVP trophy from coming his way, he still finished second in touchdowns and second in quarterback rating for the regular season. With constant winning seasons and playoff experience already under his belt, be on the lookout for Josh Allen.

2. Joe Burrow

Ever since Burrows’ rocky start to the season, he has been on an absolute tear. He has Super Bowl experience already, expect Burrow to make the right decisions, reads and throws in these playoff games that will put him and his team in the best spot to win. Burrow is a QB that can bring his team to the promised land in any given scenario and many hopeful Bengals fans feel that this is the year for it.

1. Patrick Mahomes

At this point, there seems to be no question who the best quarterback in the NFL is. Mahomes is a level above everyone else and there seems to be no one catching him. He has a Super Bowl already under his belt and what looks like a second MVP trophy coming his way. Mahomes is on a path to true greatness that is destined to happen by the time he retires.
