Philadelphia Eagles Vs LA Chargers Preview

After a dominant win against the Lions, the Eagles will attempt to get another win against a Chargers team that has lost 2 games in a row.
The Eagles will need to rely on their rushing game if they wish to best exploit the Chargers defense. They are currently dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game with 159.4. The Eagles were able to prove against another bad run defense, the Lions, that they could effectively run the football as they amassed over 230 rushing yards. The Eagles offense may also be able to exploit the Chargers CBs as their Top 2 will be out this game. Joey Bosa will also be a major threat that the Eagles must contain as he is the most dominant Chargers pass rusher.
The Eagles offense scheme should be a simple one this Sunday with an emphasis on pounding the rock, however, the difficulty will be on the defense in finding a way to contain Justin Herbert.
The Chargers have an amazing WR duo in Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, however, their depth after those two is sorely lacking. This year, Darius Slay has proven that he can lock down elite WRs while Steven Nelson has been much more up and down. Austin Ekeler will be another big matchup to watch as the Eagles LBs have been bad at best. The Eagles D-line will also need to step up this game after a massive performance last week vs the Lions.
The Eagles could upset a reeling Chargers team, but it will come down to the ability of the offense to run effectively and drain the clock so as to limit the opportunities Justin Herbert can have. The defense will need to cover Keenan Allen and Mike Williams long enough for the Eagles pass rush to get home against a bad Charger O-line
