Should the Giants tank for a high draft pick?

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (PSF) - The Giants have been having a really rough start of the season so far and it seems like they are not going to bounce back soon. They start the season 1-3 and do not seem to have the hot start they had to season such as last year.

New York has one of the hardest schedules this season and it is affecting them. Saquon had been out for the past few weeks with a high ankle sprain and it has affected the offensive scheme because he seems to be the best running back they have.

They have played 3 teams so far that made the playoffs last season and lost to all of them by 18+ points. Their hard start does not seem like it will get any easier when they play one of the highest scoring offenses against the Miami Dolphins.

News has come out that Caleb Williams, who is projected to go number 1 overall in next years NFL draft, stated that he may stay at USC for another year. He gave examples of a few team that he would be willing to play for in the future and the New York Giants is one of the potential teams that he wants to play for.

If the Giants tank and get a high draft pick next year they could possibly take him if he falls in the draft or if the Giants trade up. It is not certain what the QB will do but if he sees that the Giants have a high pick then he may consider declaring for the next draft.

Williams is not the only option for New York, they seem to have problems with their wide receiver situation and Marvin Harrison Jr. could possibly help them with that problem.

New York has also been having a few defensive problems and they can take care of that in the next draft if they have a slightly later pick.

For the Giants to land a top prospect in the draft they need to have a high pick that they can use for a generational talent player. Hopefully if they have a high pick they use it for someone to help turn the team around quickly.

It all depends how the Giants end up doing this season and from how they started and what team they have left in the season it does not seem like they will make the playoffs and may consider tanking for a high draft pick.
